Charyn Canyon Café, Almaty

This watercolour is inspired by a quiet morning at Charyn Canyon, Kazakhstan. Against the vast open landscape, a simple roadside café becomes a gathering place for travellers before they continue their journey into one of Central Asia’s most remarkable natural wonders.

What stayed with me wasn’t the building itself, but the contrast between the immense landscape and the small moments of everyday life unfolding within it.
