Summer at Shymbulak, Almaty
Known for its winter slopes, Shymbulak takes on a different character in late summer. The gondola station becomes a meeting place where hikers, families, and visitors pause over coffee before heading into the mountains. I was drawn to the open wooden promenade, the cafes filled with people, and the green ridges rising behind them. It felt less like a ski resort and more like a mountain village enjoying a sunny afternoon.
Day 29 of my July Watercolor Month.
