Serangoon Road, Singapore
A red signal gathers strangers into a temporary community. For a few quiet moments, everyone shares the same pause before continuing in different directions.
I found this scene on Serangoon Road in Singapore. The evening light reflected from the road, storefronts and passing traffic created a palette that felt both vibrant and calm. Rather than painting the city in motion, I wanted to paint that brief pause when nothing seems to happen, yet the entire street feels alive.
Watercolour has a way of preserving those fleeting moments before they disappear into memory.
“Cities reveal themselves at intersections.”
